BOEING Accepts Order for New 75 737 MAX Aircrafts
Boeing has been asked to build General Electric a fleet of 8 brand new 75 737 MAX aircrafts for their leasing and finance division the GE Capital Aviation Services (GECAS). The order was placed in December making it the largest order book of any leasing company. The latest (GECAS) order increased the order book for the 737 MAX of theirs to 170 airplanes to date. The order is current price listed at 8.25 billion US dollars for the entire order of the 8 75 737 MAX aircrafts.

Boeing aircrafts have been the fastest selling airplane in Boeing history completing a total 3419 aircrafts orders ever made. Alec Burger, President and Chief Executive Officer of the GECAS believes that this new investment will be better for the company and their partners to be able to transport equipment in large amounts and in a timely fashion stating that, “these new orders will enable GECAS to serve our clients’ needs — assisting in managing their fleets, transitioning aircraft and providing new equipment.” Also, adding that GE understands that their customers,” want the latest technology and fuel efficiency, and the CFM International LEAP-1B engines on these aircraft deliver outstanding productivity and reliability in the single-aisle market” and these new aircrafts will be able to provide solutions.
