United Technologies Expands Network to Newer Parts of Brazil

Pratt and Whitney Canada a subsidiary a United Technologies Corporation has been able to expand their fronts to South America . Establishing new fronts in Brazil is the beginning of better customer service for customers with PT6A engines. Knowing that Brazil is a heavily populated with PT6A- powered aircrafts they have capitalized on the requests and begun their work to expand their presence in Brazil. The PT6A model engines are most commonly used in the Cessna Caravan and Embraer Bandeirante aircraft. News of the latest expansion plans was released at the 2017 LABACE showcase show held in at the Congonhas Airport located in San Paulo Brazil.

The expansion to Brazil becomes the perfect opportunity to create jobs for other smaller entities along with P&WC’s new Designated Maintenance Facility Model. Pratt and Whitney Canada plan to integrate their service location into RICO Taxi Aereo Ltda ( RICO ) located in Manaus, Amazonas, Brazil. The DMFs were made to be able to provide precise inspections based on the P&WCs Engine Maintance Manuals along with other customer needs.

RICO has taken the initiative to collaborate with ABA Manutencao de Aeronaves LTDA., Barreiras Brazil to help service P&WC customers in Brazil as well.

The idea of pairing3 with entities that are already established in Brazil minimizes manufacturing costs and expenses to have to purchase new large amounts of new equipment.

In the process of expansion P&WC has chosen a new General Manager of Business Development, Mr. Renato Rafael to lead these new innovative plans.

P&WC resources will also be a tremendous strength just as much as the newly added facilities. P&WC also has facilities to offer such as Field Support Representatives (FSR) , A mobile Repair technicians (MRT) , and a P&WCs parts distribution center ; all located in Brazil.
