GE Capital Aviation Services set plans to Expand during this past International Airshow held in Paris on 19th through the 25th of June 2017. During the airshow, there was an order signed for 100 A320neo Family aircrafts as a new addition to their fleet. This order alone will increase their fleet to an approximate 600 aircrafts. Sources within GE state that out of the 600 of the aircrafts that they now currently own 220 of them are A320neo Family aircrafts.
The A320neo continues to be GEs first choice of an aircraft due to the many perks that the aircraft provides. This aircraft is known to be a fuel efficient and economically better for the company in the long run. According to GECAS President and CEO, Alec Burger he states that,
“The A320neo aircraft is an excellent product. GECAS is pleased to make this additional commitment for A320neos to meet strong customer demand for this type.”
Quickly adds
“The A320neo family aircraft powered by CFM’s LEAP-1A engines, with now proven increased fuel efficiencies, longer range and higher seating capacity will continue to be one of our core assets in our lease portfolio. The A321 version has also gained strong acceptance from customers in various new markets proving the versatility of the type.”
